Thomas Nuthmann is an experienced litigator specialising in competition law, copyright law and IT law. His clients primarily include companies with internet-based business models such as online retailers and operators of internet platforms, but also publishers, insurance companies, financial service providers and advertising agencies. He advises and represents his clients in all areas of intellectual property and copyright law as well as in contractual matters.
Thomas Nuthmann has been practicing law since 2001. Until the end of 2025, he was a partner at the law firm JBB Rechtsanwälte in Berlin. He is one of the founding partners of JBViniol.
Since 2014, Thomas Nuthmann has been listed as a ‘frequently recommended’ lawyer in the JUVE ranking for ‘Trademark and Competition Law’. In 2023, he was named “Lawyer of the Year” in the field of technology law in the Handelsblatt’s “Germany’s Best Lawyers” ranking.
